Live from Le Cabaret is Maroon 5's third live album, released on July 8 as an iTunes-exclusive download. It was recorded at Le Cabaret in Montreal, Quebec on June 13, 2007. In the summer of 2008, Maroon 5 added yet another concert album to its catalogue--the iTunes exclusive outing LIVE FROM LE CABARET. Recorded in Quebec shortly after the release of the Los Angeles-based pop/funk act’s second album, IT WON’T BE SOON BEFORE LONG, this set plays to the group’s strengths, with keyboardist Jesse Carmichael’s bold synth work and Adam Levine’s soulful crooning on full display, as heard on the groove-laden “Makes Me Wonder.” Those worried that LE CABARET might rely too much on tracks from LONG can rest assured that their first one, SONGS ABOUT JANE, is also well represented, most notably “She Will Be Loved” and “This Love,” which close out the energetic performance.
