据外国媒体报道，为纪念英国著名摇滚乐队披头士 （The Beatles）诞生50周年以及赞扬这支超级乐队对整个世界摇滚乐乃至整个流行乐的**性影响，苹果iTunes音乐商店日前宣布将发行披头士摇滚终级珍藏版精选集《Tomorrow Never Know》，而这张全新合辑目前已经可以在iTunes上接受预订。
据了解，这张纪念合辑《Tomorrow Never Knows》将收录《Paperback Writer》、《Back In The USSR》、《Helter Skelter》以及《Savoy Truffle》等14首经典摇滚作品，在英国时间7月24日将首先发放一段关于《Hey Bulldog》的免费宣传视频供乐迷预览。就此，喷火战机乐队（Foo Fighters）主唱戴夫·戈洛尔（Dave Grohl）在Twitter上响应道：“要是没有披头士，我不会成为一名歌手。披头士是流行音乐的全部，他们改变了我们身边太多的事情，甚至到今日，他们一直是摇滚音乐的代表。无论到这一代还是接下来的新一代，披头士永远是摇滚乐队最重要的一个组成部分，这是无需质疑的。”
据悉，披头士乐队从1963年发行首张专辑《Please Please Me》开始，就已经抒写着唱片销量的神话，唱片不仅在全球共卖出20亿张，远远领先于“猫王”埃尔维斯·普雷斯利（Elvis Presley）外，截至目前为止仍然以每年数百万张的速度在增长。值得一提的是，乐队前主唱保罗·麦卡特尼（Paul McCartney）将在今年伦敦奥运开幕式压轴献唱《Hey Jude》，届时现场6万名观众将和他一起合唱，成为当晚文艺演出的一大看点。
Tomorrow Never Knows is a compilation album by The Beatles. Released on 24 July 2012 as an iTunes Store exclusive, the album intends to bring together The Beatles' most influential rock songs. It is named after the Revolver track "Tomorrow Never Knows", which is featured on the compilation.“Nearly everything my band knows about how to approach recording a song is attached to The Beatles in some way,” said Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda. “Directly or indirectly, they’ve shaped the way every album is recorded, and have changed the world.”
