Indie rockers Death Cab for Cutie will bookend the release of their new album, "Codes and Keys," with intimate club shows throughout the nation before taking on a European leg.
The Grammy-nominated outfit kicks off the tour with a May 18 performance in Toronto, crisscrossing the nation for the 13-date trek, which wraps up June 9 in San Francisco. After a handful of UK shows, Death Cab will return to the US for a two-night stand July 18-19 at Los Angeles' Greek Theatre. The full itinerary, including international gigs, is listed at right.
Members of the band's fan club will have access to presale tickets beginning Thursday (3/24), while general onsales become available Saturday (3/26), according to a press release.
"Codes and Keys," Death Cab for Cutie's seventh studio effort, will hit retailers May 31 via Atlantic' Records. The album marks group's first collection of new material since 2009's Grammy-nominated EP, "The Open Door."
Death Cab for Cutie is slated to film an installment of VH1's iconic "Storytellers" series, according to a press release. No word yet on when that episode will premiere.
