Revelations

The epitome of the difficult third-album syndrome. Using an outside producer (Conny Plank) for the first time only resulted, seemingly, in headaches and confusion. Recorded in Berlin, the location must have rubbed off on the band -- witness the Teutonic undertones of "We Have Joy." The truth was that the original Killing Joke lineup was dissolving fast, and this manifests itself in the lack of cohesion and direction on the album.
