Spanish ska band Celtas Cortos was formed in 1986 by students from a Valladolid institute, reunited to participate in a music contest called Colectivo Eurofolk. After coming in first place, the young musicians decided to stay in the band, recording their debut album, Salida de Emergencia, in 1989, followed by Gente Impresentable, presented live while the band was touring the country in 1990. After releasing Cuentame Un Cuento, the group moved to England to make Tranquilo Majete, released in 1993. On February 6 and 7, 1997, Celtas Cortos recorded Nos Vemos En Los Bares live, which compiled their best songs.
