Pure Reason Revolution于2003年成立于英国威斯敏斯特大学，2004年签约SonyBMG，先后发一些单曲和一张EP，在2006年发布第一张专辑《The Dark Third》，获得了不小的成绩，同年和SonyBMG解除合约。
Pure Reason Revolution is a British rock group formed at the University of Westminster in 2003. Their music incorporates elements of progressive rock (Rick Wakeman has given the band a favourable review) and grunge rock. It has been variously described as 'Astral Folk' and 'New prog'.Members have a shared appreciation for the work of bands such as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Porcupine Tree, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins and the Super Furry Animals.
