Formed in the tail end of 2007, we began work on our debut EP, ‘The New Adventures Of...’ which was released in August 2008 in physical format and through iTunes. With everything about the release from recording to designing the artwork covered by ourselves, it started a DIY ethic that we have always stuck to. We began sharing our live show with the masses in March 2008 with over 100 shows played in our first year of gigging.
September 2008 saw the release of our first promotional video for the song ‘This Kind Of Destruction’ with a second coming soon after with ‘Turn Up The Heat’ in January 2009; both videos were self funded and created with Jonas at the helm. We gave away ‘Turn Up The Heat’ as a free download through our MySpace and YouTube accounts to encouraging response.
With continual gigging and degrees to finish, our next release didn’t surface until July ’09 with our acoustic EP, ‘The Acoustic Adventures Of...’ released through YouTube and as a free download. We celebrated the anniversary of our first EP (August 2009) by giving it away via Twitter and Facebook posts.
October 2009 marks the release of this dot com (designed, created and maintained by the band) and a shift in change for GSR; we now house together in London, living and breathing songs for our new EP set for release early next year. Check out our latest creations for The Punktastic Sessions and our Drum & Bass Covers.
Whatever you see with the GSR name on it, you can guarantee it’s been crafted by our fair hands. Our first single is in the pipeline and we can’t wait for you guys to get involved.
