One of Denmark's scant submissions to the Black Metal genre, horror metal enthusiasts Denial of God has been around since the early 90's, but don't have much to show for it. Formed in 1991 by brothers Ustumallagam (vocals) and Azter (guitar) along with bassist Kulmar and drummer Uksul, the band has often been derided for their third-rate emulation of Satan worshipping death metal masters Deicide. Their sparse, E.P.-only catalog hasn't helped matters, and includes The Statues are Watching ('94), The Ghouls of DOG ('95 -- get it?), The Curse of the Witch and Klabautermanden (both '99), The Crypt has Eyes ('00) and Robbing the Grave of the Priest ('01). Here's hoping they figure out this album' thing sometime soon.
