Born Abdelkarim Brahmi-Benalla on June 21, 1978 to Algerian parents, Rim K was a French rapper who got his start in the group he helped create in 1994, 113. Along with other members AP and Mokobé, 113 was successful enough to allow Rim K to go off on his own and start a solo career. His first album, released in 2004, contained the single "Rasheed System," that included singer Chaba Zahouania. November 26 of 2007 saw the release of the second Rim K full-length, entitled Famille Nombreuse, or (in English) Large (or numerous) Family. The album was a top twenty hit in France.
