T.O.T. stands for Tanzania One Theatre, and the group certainly appreciates the theatrical. They have taken the basic taarab lineup, and to it they have added several synthesizers and a twin bass guitar-driven rhythm section. More upsetting still are their borderline offensive lyrics that have gained them some (perhaps sought after) media attention.
