The Tah-Dahs

The Tah-Dahs were formed by singer/songwriter/guitarist Roy Ivy after he had abruptly become a professional musician at the age of 26 when he found himself a member of the sprawling, 25-member band the Polyphonic Spree. After helping record the group's debut album, The Beginning Stages Of..., and touring with them, he returned to his home in Dallas and assembled the first version of the Tah-Dahs, a sextet. That lineup did not last, but Ivy regrouped with drummer James Porter and bassist Charlie Papathanasiou, turning the band into a trio that built up a following, leading to a contract with the independent label Undeniable Records and the release of the Tah-Dahs' debut album, Le Fun, on November 8, 2005.
