The Coldspot 8 provides their native state of Florida with a hybrid of Motown-influenced soul, reggae, and ska. On top of a Latin beat to accompany their stripped-down roots of Jamaican rocksteady, the eight-piece eventually signed to the D.C. ska label Beatville. Their debut full-length, It's the Feelgood, resulted in the year 2000.
