After their debut in May of 2010, Breakaway has rapidly become the “must see” band in the Buffalo music scene. Combining expert musicianship, amazing vocal harmonies and unmatched energy and stage presence, the band brings a wide variety of music from many different eras. Whether it’s the Beatles, 70’s funk, 80’s hair metal, all of your favorite 90's tunes, 2000's, Alternative, and Modern Rock...... You name it we got it. Breakaway's expectation now is to sweep the North and South towns with our versatile choices of music!!
Featuring former members of Ezekial, Lethal Weapon (with Robbie from the Goo Goo Dolls), Lynx, Strider, Stealin, Ladyfire, White Lies, Lost Angels, Fat Brat, Stealin', Bleeding Hearts, The Strangers, Mother May I (MMI), ENVY. Breakaway was named Top New Rock Band in both the Buffalo Music Awards and the Nightlife Awards. Due to unfortunate hardships, some well-respected members had to put their successful music careers on hold. Breakaway 2.0 was born!! Bruce Decker the heart of the band began searching extensively for the most talented musicians that live up to the high energy, versatile experience Breakaway exerts. With this new chapter, Breakaway will continue to sweep WNY by its feet and take this band to a whole new level!!!
