SHYNE 11 was found in spring 1999. Whereas the members all played in various bands before, the roots lay in grunge, metal and alternative rock. The 2003 released debut album “not the whole truth” turned out in a very pop-music-way. Grill started his career as a singer in the school-choir, he only signed up because his sister told him, they´d hand out candy to all the members … no, he started singing into a pen, listening to his grandmothers records on her old grammophone… Murx`s first guitar was a tennis racquet, shortly after that he began playing in the towns traditional brass-orchestra. But he soon became a very ambicious guitar-player in various rock-bands, after he could convince his parents to get him an electric guitar, instead of the tennis-racquet… these days he studies classical-guitars at the conservatory in Ibk. Austria. Hautzi is the autodidact-bass-man, and he just loves to play… Drums, drums, drums… nothing but drums and cymbals… after he quit his career as a ski-jumping pro, Andy now likes to go downhill-biking for a balance in life… As soon as Charles parents moved to Spain, the community in the old villa was born, bands were found and rehearsal-rooms installed. You could walk through the house and be tripping from one into another party… (everyday ;) SHYNE 11 has played concerts and festival gigs (like the Donauinselfest at the FM4 Stage), and a few others, with various bands such as: Placebo, Fantomas, Korn („Two Days A Week“-Festival 2002), Natural born Hippies, The Melvins, Sonic Youth (FM4 „Frequency-Festival“ 2002), Scorpions (?!), Schweisser, Unida, New Model Army, and many more. Plus they supported Tito & Tarantula on their European tour.
