This lesson is for power-metal bands.Here you'll see
what is power-metal and how it is playing.
Before exercise read this:
Power-metal is metal where everything plays fast, but
with melody. Power-metal is metal where used
something from middle time music(songs
about dragons,elves,
dwarves etc).Main instruments in power-metal are guitar
and keyboards.In power-metal guitars are usually setted
by Eb or D; E is rare.
Ex 1 Here is a "simple" power-metal riff.(Speed of Light
- Stratovarius)
Ex 2 Here you can see how keyboards may be the lead

Ex 3 The same but with guitar accomp.
Ex 4 Here is an interlude (Children of Bodom -
Deadnight Warrior (Children of Bodom is not real
power-metal, but it's melodies are very alike))

and
then guitars are playing the same melody but in faster
tempo.This also the way of playing power-metal.
For keyboarders: in p.-metal bands keyboarders usually
use Korg synths because there more instruments.(for
example in Black Diamond (again Stratovarius) intro is
playing on instr which I couldn't found on Casio or
Yamaha synths or Guitar Pro.
