I call this next type of exercise "Discontinuity" since you're playing half the sweep normally, and then playing the second half backwards. Splitting the arpeggio
This excercise is excellent in helping your coordination since it is a very unnatural movement for our brains to process,
a lot of bands like CHON and Intervals use irregular sweeping patterns.
This exercise is not super musical, as it's more oriented around a
chromatic approach. This one is super helpful in getting down movement up the neck and the general rolling motion.
Here's an example of all of these techniques in one sweeping pattern. The last measure is a challenge, see if you can get it!
